I rounded up, it did only take 5.5 hours. I bet my friend would have disagreed with the Fit being not much more comfortable. He's about 6'4'' and 230lbs. He looks like a circus bear sitting in the passenger seat of and S2000 He kept trying to fall asleep but I noticed him adjusting his head trying to find a comfortable position.

What hotel did everyone stay in?...since it sounds like just about everyone was there over the weekend :P

i'll be at the Palazzo next weekend! although, my favorite budget hotel would have to be Harrah's. it's practically the center of the strip and there's a wallgreens just walking distance from the entrance for emergency beer, cigs, and condoms lol

NEVER LEAVE ON A SUNDAY hahah.. during halloween '08 weekend it took us 7.5 hrs to get from vegas to porter ranch. good thing we were in my GF's mom's highlander hybrid. that traffic would have roasted the clutch in my Fit... i'll never forget that 300+ mile parking lot

I might have killed someone if I had to stay on that road for 2 more hours. I was only coming back for a soccer game, otherwise, my friend had a free room at the Venetian back in Vegas so many times my friend and I contemplated off roading to cross back to the other side and heading back to Vegas

I'm planning on going on a road trip next month for spring break. LA -> SF -> SD. The GE8 is going to be racking up a lot of miles.

Yeah, I'm definitely planning to do something to protect the front end. Last time I get to NorCal, I got two cracks on my windshield and cracked one fog light lens. I might get a clear bra.
