SoCal Insurance rates for the Fit

Hello, potential new Fit owner here.

I'm looking at buying a Fit in the next two weeks. I have tried calling my insurance company, and they don't have it in their system yet.

I was wondering what everyone is paying for full coverage on the Fit?

With the Fit, I will have 3 cars on my policy. good drivers. no records.

TIA!

Thats weird? What is your insurance company? I have State Farm and they had it in their computers. Well anyway, I'm 21, the car is in my name only and I have 1 ticket; it costs about $179/month for me. Stupid ticket. If my parents were on the title also I could use their insurance and it would only be about 120/month. Good luck getting your fit

I have Wawanesa Insurance, I called them this afternoon and the rep. said they don't have 2007 models in the computer yet.

I currently have two cars on my policy ('01 Lexus IS300 and '00 Honda Accord). I can't imagine it will cost more than my Lexus. My wife and I are the only drivers on the policy.

I currently pay @ $1200/year for both cars, full coverage. That's what happens when you're 30. LOL

That's strange cuz I have Wawanesa and I've had my policy for a month now. The Fit and a 89 Chevy Astro van together full coverage cost me about $950 a year, the Fit alone is not quite $700 but then I also have the multi-car discount, good driver, I'm over 30, and I've been with them for ages. Try calling Corrina at ext x4175, she was my rep and figured it all out for me.

Persistence pays. Did Corrina help you?

honestly, I don't know who it was.

My wife called in for me.

By adding the Fit to my policy, and dropping my Lexus down to "recreational use" only, my additional premium would only be $300 more than what I'm paying now.

With that in mind, the wifey gave me the go-ahead on the Fit purchase. It's going to be my new commuter car

I'm paying $550 for 6 months through 21st century.

I also believe you can get another discount now that you mention that it got a 5 star crash safety test.
