Exclamation

I name is

sLiVeRwOrM

Here is the car I had before the Fit, 2004 Suzuki AerioSX. I didn't even have the car long enough to make my first payment, untill I got hit by an 18 wheeler.
-- Before 18 wheeler

-- After 18 wheeler

Until a few weeks later when my brother in New Mexico found my Fit, at first I wasn't interested but then I figured it would give me an excuse to see my brother and drive a badass new car which would be MINE. I had three choices at the time, Silver/Black MT Sport ; Black/Black AT Sport ; White/Beige MT Sport, I went with the White obviously because I saw that it would be the rarest of the Fits and it is still
-- The FIT

From there on, I got a tint and some 17s

I felt sluggish in the Fit after those 17s, so I ripped them off and got some new Konigs which is like a night and day difference.

After that , I made a grounding kit, ordered a voltage stabilizer , Fujita CAI

and all of that made me pretty happy but I wanted more.....

so I found on the fourms new products to buy such as my Tanabe Front & Rear strut bars and Tanabe GF210 springs and Tanabe Medalion Touring exhaust...

I have since been pretty happy with all my new goodies but , now I figure I need more power again.. I just ordered a new DC Header and Megan Bpipe.. those will be installed early next week and I can't wait...

-- I have no favorite mod, I see all of them come together as one mod to create my FIT

Originally when I bought my Fit it was my intention to only lower it and put some wheels on it. Of course me being me I couldnt have that. I built this car basically to Handle. I have a few more suspension mods I would like to do, then I plan on taking it out on the track. The way it is right now I out handle most cars out on the road. Entry speed into a corner is Higher than in my S2000. I cant wait until i am done with this car. I also plan on upgrading my SC to the 10lb kit soon as I can get my Hands on it.

HI my name is Rick and I am Fitaholic. I have been interested in the Fit ever since the 2004 Import Tuner Calander. It was an insert in their january issue and they had the Spoon Fit Race Car on one of the months. I read more about it and heard talks of the Fit coming to America. I also saw how Team 5zigen was already building parts for its arrival.

I thought that if Spoon is interested in it, then it has to be good. I was currently driving a Mitsu Evolution which I bought because it was a car that our tuner culture had forced mitsu to sell here and we finally had a great JDM performance car that we never had before, but only dreamed of till now.

The Fit was that same car, a great car that America was missing out on. Now I finally have that car I was eyeing up in the calander and I love driving it every day. The evo was fast and fun but lacked the practicality of a daily driver. The Fit had all that and looked like the underdog. Everybody loves the underdog.

2007 Milano Red Fit w/MT. Mugen drop in air filter and radiator cap.

I decided to buy the Fit after driving a Jazz as a rental car in New Zealand. Both my wife and I said that if it were to come to the states we would get one. While traveling back home, setting in LAX airport we saw the Fit commercial where the Fit ends up eating the SUV. Well that was it and the very next week, we went looking. Little to my surprise they were hard to find. We bought ours right off the truck that carries the cars to the dealership. That was 4/28/06 and the rest is history.

The thing I like about the Fit is the vesatility that comes in such a small package. Unlike any other. I also really like the gas mileage!

The Fit resides in North Carolina, USA.

My Fit of the Month Submission

I bought my Fit last July and I am still as happy as I can be today. My husband bought a Civic the week before mine and I was jealous because I felt like I wasn't going to drive it much. It is a stick and I prefer an AT. He told me that if I could get my own car for less than $300 a month then I should start shopping (sweetheart). I had seen the brochure for the Fit when we were shopping for his Civic but the dealer said they were rare and they did not have one to look at. I looked at a Yaris (cheap, no power and uglier than they look in the commercial). I was determined to find a Fit so I could see it up close. After calling numerous dealers I found one! They told me that it was not available to sell because it was damaged in transit but I asked if I could just come see it. We drove 50 miles and when the salesman walked us out to the back lot I could see it waaaaay in the back and I was smitten right away with the color (BOM). It was still covered with the shipping gunk and plastic and the damage was minor (front bumper broke loose). The salesman finally let us sit in it to get an idea about space. I begged him to let me drive it, just around the lot. He agreed and we all piled in (3 adults and two kids) and off we went. I was absolutely in love.

I asked him "what will it take to get me into this car today?"

2 days later I was driving my "Penny" home. I actually thought the color looked like a shiny new penny, hence her name.

This winter was brutal here in Denver, Colorado, USA, tons of snow, so I drove my 4X4 truck most days. I was nervous about all the snow and ice on the streets. I worried that the low clearance could result in damage. She was garaged alot all winter. I only have 2500 miles on it so far. The weather is much better now and all I want to do is drive, I feel a road trip coming on...

My ONLY modification

I LOVE her...

His and Hers, we are a Honda family!

What do I like about her?

I was first sold on the look, BOM knocked me out. Then the interior room, husband and two kiddos in the back and everyone is comfy. Now I am hooked on the handling, it is so much fun to drive. The gas mileage is a big plus these days (I just giggle when I see the monster SUVS at the gas station) I average 33 MPG around town. Being a Honda is great, of course. Their rep is unmatched (IMHO). Being "green" is important to me too.

Finally, I really enjoy all the attention from other people. The young kids just stare and stare and people ask me all the time if it is a Hybrid. I came out of the store the other day and found a note under my windshield wiper:
"Do you love your Fit as much as we do?" I have watched people walk by it and stop, back up, walk all around the car...

my fit

You see it all started with this disease I got it from my brother...

I was diagnosed at home with my parents...

Than my disease seemed to keep bringing these things called automobiles into my possesion, where I would invision things about looks and speed.

Suzuki had been having problems on that model and her sister car the Forenza. Mostly with the water pumps, a piece has been losening itself and lodging itself into the time-belt casing. You can use your imagination to get whats next. Well they replaced the head, water pump, and most of the head's components under warrenty. So when I asked about the bottom end and more importantly if they replaced the pistons, they said, "they werent DINGED up enough to ruin anything. Leaving me in mystery to the condition of my pistons, ie compression, or any bit of the bottom end, ie small wear overtime equals big problems. SOLD.

But one incident couldn't stop the illness it just went from one host to another infecting...

And though I tried to keep the disease from those who I love, but they fall victom to its rath...

Over time I've learned to live with the disease, sadly enough theres no cure.

Fit for racing

This Fit should be the Fit of the month.

It is a capable track car

It may not be the fastest one out there, but, it is definitely not boring

It helped me find a new hobby in autocross

Basically a car show that you get to race at too.

It has moved friends into new homes, taught me a lot about wrenching on cars, and introduced me to many cool people.

That is why this Fit should be the Fit of the Month!

My old ride, may she rest in piece...I still miss her.

My new ride:

I have a Storm Silver Honda Fit sportshift/automatic. I know I know its an auto but its by doctors orders. I shattered my legs in a car accident back in 1997 and since then have been limited to automatics.

I chose this car for 3 main reasons:
1) The flat folding back seats to fit my hockey goalie bag!
2) Some parts from my Civic were able to swap over.
3) Gas mileage since prices are gettin out of control!!!

Suspension mods:
T1R B-maxx coilovers
16" Wedsport SA-70's w/ Falken RT615's
Rays Engineering wheel lugz
J's Racing front strut bar
J's Racing lower arm bar
J's Racing c-pillar bar
Endless brake calipers
Endless slotted rotors

Engine mods:
T1R B-maxx carbon intake
T1R Earthing kit
T1R Voltage stabilizer
T1R Ignition booster
J's Racing rad cap
J's Racing oil cap
Spoon thermostat
Spoon N1 muffler
Spoon N1 b-pipe
T1R test pipe
Billion rad hoses
Body colored engine cover

Exterior mods:
Catz HID kit
Seibon cf hood
Spoon cf wing
JDM l.e.d. tail lights (red/clear)
JDM l.e.d. third brake light
Honda Access door visors

Miscellaneous mods:
Mugen pedals
Spoon auto shift knob
Spoon short antenna
JDM rear "H" emblem
JDM "FIT" door sills
JDM chrome interior door handles
L.e.d. dome light and trunk light
Asimo the Honda Astronaut!!!

Coming soon:
J's racing front grill
J's racing front lip
T1R rear disc conversion
T1R turbo kit w/ fmic

What I like most about the my car is the amount of interior space for such a small car and being able to fit so much crap in the back to actually shock people. Example buying 2 42" lcd tv's on boxing day and fitting them both still in the boxes haha.

AJ-R 13 and I are located in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
