are you talking about city park road? off of 2222? if that is the road your talking about it is crazy. i run it at least once a day and it still hasnt gotten old. its probably the most enjoyable ride when the sun is setting my sig was taken out there.

So you guys like the location? Nothing is set in stone so if any Austinites know of a better place to roll we can head that way as well.

I picked it because my Dad has been going to Austin his whole life and said that this is by far one of the best spots drive.

i know quite a few places around the area that are good eats IMO. what kind of food is every one into? if you all wanted to take a little excursion we could head mopac onto 2222 which is a super fun road to drive, mt. bonnel is on there so that might be a possible pit stop for pictures, plus the drive up the mountain is pretty fun, just a few twisties up 2222 from mt. bonnel is county line BBQ i have never eaten there but any one in austin who likes BBQ has something good to say about them. and just a little more up 2222 across 360 is city park road, which is canyon carving at its best in austin. the road isnt that difficult but still fun to drive and is extremly scenic... that is if your driving slow and safely enough to look away from the road ahead

Great eats and great drive? Sounds good to me. I don't care where we eat, but I know I will need some food after my 3 hour drive. I was thinking set up a BBQ at the park, but I don't think we got the equipment to do so. And I don't wanna haul a bunch of utensils etc.

Plus think of food flying everywhere while taking some S-turns.

I'm stating to think that we can save our $8.00 and not go to the park, but instead just drive by it and then go eat.

i also found out that tom hughes park is about thiry minutes away from lime creek rd. i mapped it out today while i was at work. it would be a long but incredible drive. running it from the entrance of lime creek to park road in tom hughes park would probably take 45-1hr. i think when i get home today im going to take out the camera and make a few videos. i was thinking one to show you the ride from 2222 to city park road, one running lime creek down hill and one running park road. in my opinion these are three of the best roads in austin for spirited driving and... i want to make it sound like the videos are for you all but i really just want to drive! ill try and get them done by the end of the week so i can put them up on you tube for you all to check out.
