Yea I really miss that car. But I have to say I love my Fit, so its all good. One of the reasons why I let it go was mainly because of the maintance on the car. But hey I went from an 04 to an 08 ..lol

honestly, they are all great. fwd is safest, which in its way is the funnest. a fwd with decent power makes anyone feel invincible, which in turn is tremendous fun.

a rwd can be scary and technically challenging. which can be tremendous fun.

an awd car can act like like a fwd in the rain and a rwd when its dry (depending on the car of course). the absolutely insane speeds one can achieve in a awd without even really getting it right is also tremendously fun.

Looks like RWD ran away with the show in the end. Just goes to show that people on FF are pretty open minded. I was really surprised that AWD didn't do better.

AWD is nice....at times, but tends to be lower MPG, and it's one more thing to go wrong. If you are talking about sport AWD (I assume you are) you also have to deal with a slightly lower fun to drive factor. AWD feels very heavy at the wheel, and sluggish to maneuver -even compared to FWD. It has it's limits and will not pass them in most cases. There are more and more AWD systems that are computer controlled and very user friendly, but again, you are adding a lot of complication to the equation and often subtracting from the driving experience.

IMO: AWD=added traction in poor road conditions -or- driver is unsure what they are doing.
FWD=great for everyday driving, but not up to par when trying to be speed racer
RWD= least user friendly, least practical, worst in rain/snow/dirt/gravel, easy to overshoot the limits, but BEST DRIVING EXPERIENCE.

Driving Experience is what i am assuming this thread is about -hence my choice- that being said, If i had to choose only 1 car to live with for my entire life and would have any considerable amount of "bad" road conditions to contend with I would take AWD in a heart beat.

i chose FWD only because i havnet really had that much practice on RWD and AWD cars. I'd love to try an MR car though
