2010 Fall Dragon Run....our 8th annual running!

Either way, you welcome and once we get closer, just let us know so we know who to look for out there, we'll be easy to spot, just look for the largest, diverse car group out there, that will be us!
Were a little less than 2 monthes away and we've got a couple more cars going and one that had to drop out (Mirage w/right-hand drive and EVO motor, bummer) and we've got room for a couple more Fits. I'm glad we've got 2 local Fit guys from here looking to meet up with us, hope you guys are still in, its going to be an awesome showing from all over the country this year

I know you guys all seem to be in the area, so my question to you all is this, are you going to try and stay near us or meet us out there? There are other cabins in the area you can try and book right now but be advised there is this thing called "Gold Rush" the week were going to be in Tellico Plains and its pretty big. I know of atleast 2 motels right off of I-75 and route 68 (Sweetwater exit #60) These are about 25 minutes from us and honestly, its very easy to from us those motels, so its no biggie. With a little work, we can all work this out as far as meeting up in the morning if you guys wanna do this, I'm all about making it work best for everyone. We have breakfast in downtown Tellico Plains at the Towne Square restaraunt and its simply one of the best breakfasts we've ever had, period

Let me know your intensions, just wanna pass along everything to our home base for this run over on The Contour Enthusiasts Group This is where I first up the run as I had a 2000 Contour SVT but remained friends with everyone all along. Cars bring us together and it doesn't matter what we're driving as long as we're all together having a good time. Speaking of that, I'd like to let everyone know we don't want/need any "clowns" or "showboats" out there. Its something I just have to pass along to everyone, especially since I don't know any of you guys. We've been doing this for 8 years running and have never had an incident (well, we had one guy acting like a fool and he was spoken to about it and has never come back) This isn't to say we're "fun governors" either, trust me on that one. Driving your car to about 7/10th's out there is about all you need, trust me.

This is the sign that greets you well before you "enter the Dragon" and trust me, its clear and honest

This a shot of our group from last year, sorry you can't really see all the cars because some of our group is right there in the middle.

This my old ride, its what the Fit replaced and its too bad I couldn't keep it but then again, I wouldn't be driving such a fun, reliable car and not have found this site
Scenery anyone?

This is Bald Rive Falls, right off the Skway!

One of the views you get from the several turn off areas on the Skyway!

This pics shows all the fog/clouds that rolled in on us on the Skyway, making in necessary to pull off and wait it out, this was a first for us. It also got pretty chilly too, so remember to bring along a hoodie or jacket in the car, you never know!
Gorgeous pic of the Cherohala

Few pics of my own

And if I do make it down, i'll probably just drive down for the day. Come to think of it, I remember the first time I went down the Dragon I saw a good sized group of people; I remember seeing a few svt contours as well. Could have been part of your group!

Just to help keep track of who's going out with our group for the Dragon Run, I'd like to start a little list. Please add yourself if your either looking to stay with us and/or meeting us out there. If you meeting us out there by chance, add that to the list. Let's keep this one simple, thanks guys
