2011 Fall Dragon Run...Oct 6th-9th
Yeah no joke, I had enough of that just after a few hours and looks like I missed most of the drama, lol. Some people forget that this is supposed to be fun... Anyways - killboy's blog shows the S2k, Cobalt SS, Miata and SVT Contour on the first page of the highlights. There was also a shot of a black GE8 with a pink lip - didn't see this one on Saturday, maybe it was there earlier in the week? Had fun running up there with you guys. You guys were quick!
Edit: I just saw Jim posted similar links, these are general links to sites and you can go from there.

Wow! Haven't been on here for waaay too long. Very sorry we missed this meeting
I love the dragon/deal's gap. Been through there many times on a bike, but only once in the Fit. Of course the Fit trip resulted in a ticket for 45 in a 30. Cop radio'd ahead and had someone else pull me over cause his crown vic was no match.

Here are some driving shots of my car, and there are more on my photo thread. I have a few pics of the other cars, but they aren't Fits so I'm not going to post them.

Nah, I didn't mean it that way. I use the photo album built into this site instead of linking from an external online photo site, and my free upload quota is maxed out! I have to delete one of MY photos before I can upload pics of a different car... I can't even bear the though of that!
I guess you should try and say what you mean, very confusing
Ok, here's the deal with next years run, its on, ofcoarse, so no worries there. I've had some bring up that CCV is going down hill and isn't very clean, point taken but the price is right, as is the location. Speaking of location, some would like to move to a more centrally located site, like Robinsville or Fontana Village and I do like the idea of that because we're closer to the Dragon and 28 but further away from the Skyway, so its a catch 22 for sure. Back to the lodging thing though. We'll find out prices soon enough, I mean we've got "some time", right
I'd like to hear what you guys all think about this, we win either way, just hope that if we move our home base we're taken care of, we pretty much have CCV to ourselves and noone says anything about the campfire activities either. Speaking of that, the campfire chatter is getting old for me but that's because of one person who just stirs the pot and doesn't let up. If my buddy Arturo comes with me next year we'll be staying at his parents place in Sweetwater, the next town over and I will not have to deal with any of that while I'm there. You Fit guys/gals will have to fend for yourself, although I'm sure Jim will be ok with that. The person in question has NO respect for the Fit or anything that's like it which pisses me off to be honest. I will not use his name here or anywhere else but IMO its just wrong to tear down a solid car like the Fit. Sure its only got 117 hp/109 ft/lbs of torque and it needs to be wound up to get going up and down the Skyway but as all of you guys/gals have proved, with some suspension and tires and wheels, the car does just fine thank you
IMO where the Fit really shines is on the Dragon, its really a beast and especially with modded suspension! All you've gotta do is look at the lone GD out there to see that, rock solid! Not to mention ALL the Fits for that matter
Your input is appreciated and needed to make next year's run even better, that's the point, right!

Remind me for next yr. DEFINITELY will take the drive. Couldn't come this yr cause I used up all my vacation days in Aug., but will save some for this next yr, and bring my gf (she wanted to go as well).

I hope the couple with matching Fits show up and bring both of them, along with anyone else who wants to go but I will say this, if you've got an ego or hang up, stay home, we had a couple people this year that left alot to be desired. I'll just say this, just because you've got a certain type of car or a certain skill set because of a club your apart of, doesn't put you above anyone

I hope those looking to go don't take the above comment meaning our run has a bunch of emo's because we're not, trust me!
Please make sure that I get the notice. We will be there and my wife will be happy to shut down whoever you are speaking of. She will talk circles around him and then pass him in the Dragon. That is coming from someone who has made passes there in both my zx-9 and Triumph RS, but can't equal what I'm capable of in the Fit.
Only problems we ran into were cops (got a ticket) and fading brakes. Will need to upgrade before having an audience. Our corner speeds became more and more impressive because our brakes were working less and less

How do you fade the brakes on a Fit, were they already on their way out? I ran the Dragon at night last year for the first time balls to the wall with the Fit going from the wall to Deal's Gap and had NO fade at all, I gave the Fit all it had, for what that's worth

It will great to have another Fit on the run, not to mention another GD, we only had one GD this year but that one was awesome and complete with scaffolding to boot

The new thread for the 2012 will be here and the thread will be in the BOLD!
