Targa Tabula Rasa
Targa Tabula Rasa
Hopefully they make a go of it this year, and I can do this some time in the future. Targa Nfld, Targa Tasmania, and Targa Nz are probably too expensive and too far away...
TARGA CANADA WEST'S INAUGURAL EVENT: TTR
Targa Canada West is pleased to announce that the inaugural event is a go: Targa Tabula Rasa, or TTR. Thanks goes to the support of the wonderful community of Nakusp and the Arrow Lakes residents... and the team that believed it could happen.
WHEN: May 13 & 14, 2011 (Friday night & Saturday).
Check-in, Scrutineering and Targa School Friday night, May 13; event competition Saturday May 14.
WHERE: Taking place in and around glorious Nakusp, BC, Canada – on the twistiest paved public roads between valleys, lakes and mountains. (The roads are safely and temporarily closed to the public – and reopened as soon as the Special Stage is clear).
WHAT: Targa Canada West's inaugural TTR is a comfortable half-day event open to sports cars of all makes and models from classic to modern.
TTR is an easy way to try the Targa experience within two categories.
Targa Precision Category for regular street-legal cars and a spirited TSD-style rally. Precision Category sets a limited target speed so there is virtually no risk to your car. Also no requirement to modify your precious car with complex safety gear. Minimal vehicle preparation required: safety triangles, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, etc. (full details published on this site soon). Get your car out of the garage... and get behind the wheel.
Targa Precision Entry Cost: $99 / team. Accommodation not included; some other fees may apply. Registration coming soon.
Targa Performance Category is a full-on contest of epic proportions and yet judged by one simple rule: the fastest time wins. Targa Canada West intends for this to be a fully sanctioned and insured event by the highest levels of Canadian motorsport authority. Therefore full roll cage, HANS devices and full safety gear are required in the Performance Category (full details published in Supp Regs soon). And with it, the full chance to test your metal... and your mettle.
Targa Performance Entry Cost: $225 / team. Accommodation not included; some other fees may apply. Registration coming soon.

With the porsche club as a sponsor that make dominated the entries.

Would be great if this event takes off like the one in Newfoundland every September.
