Southeast Region Meet & BBQ: Charlotte, NC December 7/8, 2007
It'll be alright... had about half the people flake, which is to be expected with a meet in this area.
Looks like it's going to be a bunch of people getting together who haven't seen each other in a couple of years. Two of the Ngyuen brothers are coming out from Kinston... still haven't heard back from Sean whether or not he's coming (he said he was going to bring Donnie with him as well)... so who knows. There should be a couple of cars out.

Sorry I didn't make it. Left Spartanburg late waiting on some people. Got about 30mins away and one of the cars in our 7 car convoy blew a head gasket. Sit on the side of the road for a little. Finally call a Tow Truck and drop the car off at a friends. When all said and done it would have been 3 or 4 before we got to Concord so we just called it a day. lol nothin went right for us today. lol
Damn... I guess you were rolling up with David, Steve and all of them.
Who all was in your 7 car convoy? If I read Donnie's name, I'm going to be sad.
We'll have to do it again come spring time, and hopefully you guys can make it up to that one.
I'll hopefully have some pictures up here in a bit.

We had
John N: EG Coupe that blew a head gasket
Steve N: DC Teg
David N: Turbo S2k
2 EG Hatchbacks
WRX and my car.
That's too bad man, I was really looking forward to meeting you and getting to see all the brothers. It's been a couple of years. Hopefully something can get set up some time in the near future again so we can all get together and have a nice little meet again.
how did the meet go? wish i could have made it. the toys for tots meets that i had this weekend went awesome though. we filled a 7ton, the bed of a silverado, and a 15 foot enclosed trailer with toys so it felt good to do that. im def down for the next meet. keep me posted. cant wait to see the pics.

Brandon's sweet four door. Showing all these new kids on the block how to do it... BONE STOCK BABY!!

Jason being the grill master, kung-fu style.

Everybody loses a burger now and then... but it's when you don't get caught on camera that you can grab it off the charcoal and just throw it back on the grill.

Got it!!

my buddies civic coupe could have had anyone though.

It's all good man... from talks with Steve last night and other little birdies I hear chirping in other places... Steve and Matt are going to start working on a Kinston meet some time this week. No real details have been put together yet as far as I know though.
I didn't realize i was in the last pic....(funny looking one on the right
)
man that integra was nice.
the orange integra looked sharp, but there was some questionable under hood components.

Yeah, I'm not sure the guy who drove it there even knew what was under the hood. It sounded like he just let somebody else do all the planning, building, etc and he just threw it in the car.
He was a really nice guy though, so I won't talk to much trash. He definitely had a lot of money into that car though. The cage was pretty intense.
Are you talking about the other 'teg with the JDM front and Bomex kit?

yeah that was him. the cage was incredible, and if it wasn't for the color matched engine (imo) the car would have been unstoppable.
He was a pretty nice guy, i just like it when you find someone who puts effort into the car themselves, and knows the specs and can tell you why they went that route.
i liked the type r integra more though, that was a sweet ride. just for the intake alone.
the brakes looked shady, like if mugen had been painted on...maybe thats just how they are but i would have expected more from mugen. I preferred the gold wilwoods on the integra.
but enough talk, i'm rolling bone stock...in an automatic no less!
it was still fun tho chris, still trying to decide if i liked the american or asian approach to burgers though.
