Cruise Control available at random times

My Cruise Control on my 07 Fit is only available at random times.

When I turn the main switch on, it might come on or it might not.

I usually just leave the main switch in the on position.

If the cruise control is working the dash cruise indicator light will be on.

In the evening, when I leave work, a lot of times the cruise dash light won’t be on and turning the main switch off and on several times will not get it to turn on. However, sometimes, the next morning when I turn the engine on the dash light will be on.

I have also experience driving with the cruise control engaged and then the cruise control turns off. I don’t mean it just disengages, I mean it turns off, the cruise dash indicator light will be off.

I’m thinking about changing the steering wheel switch unit, but before I drop the $65 bucks I wanted to check with you folks.

I don't know a thing about this but at your local Pick and Pull yard, I'm sure that switch would sell for a fraction of that, especially if you go on a "sale day". Good luck. Oh, and that switch may be available on various year models too so you would have a better chance in finding one at the "yard".

Yeah, that's a really good idea...........get a used switch from a car that's been sitting out in the sun for weeks/months.......spend the time removing it ........and then the time to install it.........Brilliant!!!..................Z
