Cold start LOUD grinding noise *with video* 2017 fit SE

Hi,
as the cold season is approaching I have noticed an unsettling and terrible assaulting noise that occurs when i start my car for work at 6:00am each morning. This tends to only happen when temperatures dip below 5°C. Here are the details:
- I am parked in an enclosed apartment parking garage
- 2017 Honda Fit SE
- Automatic transmission
- Oil 100% (I just got the oil change on friday)
- Brand new engine and cabin filters installed pn friday
- 38,061 KM
- I am the one and only owner of this vehicle
- This noise is new to this winter
- I live in BC Canada (for climate information)
- I have never been in an accident or anything like that
- The only shop my vehicle has ever been is is the Honda dealership for oil changes as required by the meter on the control center
- That noise only happens after sitting for a few hours in the cold

What the hell is that noise and why is it happening when ive barely used it (proof in KMs), i dont drive hard in it, and i keep on top of routine check ups. (Except that damn brake service that i was supposed to get 8,000 KMs ago but cmon...$300? Ouch)

Honda released improved parts to address the VTC actuator rattle on 15-16 Fits a couple months ago.

TSB 16-088

That tsb is for 15_16 models and has been out since the 2017 model year. It'd be unlikely that OPs 2017 would be effected by the same issue. Also the "se" trim sounds like the dealers are just describing the exL trim. https://www.tsbsearch.com/Honda/16-088 so unless the good parts were taken out of your 2017 and swapped with a 2015/16 that had the bad parts, it may be something else.

Stick.

Just another reason why a stick is better than an automatic transmission. Oh and my 2015 EX stick doesn't make any rattling noise on cold start up.

Funny, since my 2016 EX with stick makes a similar noise (which is being addressed by the dealer soon).
Choice of transmission has nothing to do with the noise.

The VTC actuator rattle can be found on both CVT and manual transmission cars. It's an engine issue - nothing to do with the transmission. This has been around for a long time (a decade or more) and not just on the Fit. For whatever reason Honda hasn't been able to properly and permanently fix it. It was common on 2015/6 models and Honda issued a fix for it but then more recently it turned up again in some 2017 models so so much for their fix.
