I fixed the drain plug that a quick lube destroyed on my friend's 2011 Fit.
Used hand tools only, a small vise grip on the drill, a 5/16 wrench on the cutter, tap and driver.
I put an airhose down the dispstick tube to blow chips outward, that seemed to work pretty well, then poured a cup of gas in and blew that through.

Very kind of you to help a friend. I might still recommend a relatively quick oil change to make sure you didn't leave any metal behind.
That's why I don't let other folks touch my car. Especially not the bits that keep the oil/transmission fluid/coolant in or the wheels on.
I'm more than happy to take a couple minutes to do something right (and gently) with a torque wrench.
