in this video im showing how you can clean the EGR control valve in the Honda fit/jazz with IMA hybrid engine. sometimes due to usage of low octane fuel and maybe due to bad or inconsistent quality of fuel(not accusing anyone just giving reasons) the EGR valve tend to get clogged up with carbon deposits. this may cause the valve to remain open or closed without functioning properly and it will effect the engine performance, power and fuel consumption and many more issues(sometimes check engine light). furthermore i personalty noticed the dirty egr valve causes sudden lags/jerks in the GP1 when picking up at slow speed and even at the transition from EV to Engine mode at low rpm.
