Exclamation Warning: hondapartsnow dot com

Just a heads-up: Not all OEM resellers are created equal.

I am having a really terrible experience with hondapartsnow.com out of California. TLDR: Order from them at your own risk.

I ordered 2 parts, I paid for 2 parts, I received 1 part and a huge hassle.

I called and emailed them the day the incomplete order arrived, I asked them to send me the missing item right away so that I wouldn't miss my repair appointment. They said no. I asked for a timely refund so I could buy the part from the dealership in town. They said no.

I sent them photo evidence of the incomplete order and demanded a refund. They told me they had to contact the 3rd party dealership that they shipped the part from for confirmation before they could refund any money. I sent follow up emails and my emails were either ignored or bounced back to me by their mail server. 18 days passed, no refund.

I called them to ask again for the refund. They promised me they would call me back the next morning after they contacted the 3rd party dealership to verify the order was incomplete. They did not contact me.

I called again to request my refund. They told me again they could not refund my money until they contacted the 3rd party dealership they shipped the part from.

At each turn, when I requested help, I was told, "There is no help," or "There is no help, I am the manager."

Had I spent the extra 8% to order from Bernardi, I would have saved several hours of aggravation instead.

I finally had to ask my credit card company to intervene with a chargeback. For all the time and frustration, hondapartsnow.com was absolutely NOT the cheapest option! Be careful out there!

Made a note of this for future reference. Thank you for the warning. I sure hope that you can get your order resolved.

Next time just one call, if they don't make it right, CHARGEBACK!!! My Citibank is awesome at reversing the charges in situations like these.

Yup, ALWAYS pay with a credit card and then you can quickly resolve the situation if they won't. Don't drag the situation out.

I feel for the OP. We've all had those bad experiences. I know I've had my fair share of issues with online retailers.

That said, to date, I have placed 5 orders with HondaPartsNow and all have been filled in a timely manner and complete. No issues. Not to say I won't have one eventually, but so far so good.

I've also ordered OEM parts from Honda.oempartsonline, Bernardi, and College Hills. The only mild problem I've had was with Bernardi. Not a big deal, but their shipping calculator isn't always accurate. They contacted me to let me know shipping would be an additional $100 something dollars. I said cancel order and they refunded.

For non-OEM parts, my go to is RockAuto. I'm countless orders in with them. They generally have the best prices and sell legitimate parts unlike eBay or Amazon. They even have a discount code on the forum here for members.
