As several people have pointed out, the plastic cover on the AUX port seems to disintegrate after a few years. I've found at least one source for a suitable replacement part, and will now leave you to wrestle with whether to replace yours to the tune of... oh, I don't know... shall we say free? That's right, for a limited time, you can PM me for a free AUX port cover. How many? Who's to say? Will I ghost you because you come across as a perv and/or a stalker? Maybe!
