Love Bugs

Does anyone know if there's a bug net that will fit the Fit? Love bug season is fierce this time around, and I heard that the second outbreak in September will be even worse. I spend every day after work cleaning the darn things off the hood, bumper, side mirrors and windshield. Even with rapid response, the acid is starting to pit the paint.

I'll give it a try . . .

Hi,

During the next few weeks I am going to give this stuff a try

Menzerna FMJ

Bit of a pain, since I will have to use the Mezerna Final Polish II before applying the FMJ but after the trouble my husband and I went through after the last round of love bugs (he used to work in Merritt Island and commute their from Orlando) I am thinking that maybe a little extra time spent applying the FMJ two times a year might be worth it in the long run.

I'll report back!

When I lived in MS, my neighbor would spray the front of his truck with Pam (the cooking spray) during love bug season. It protected the paint, and they could be removed by just spraying with a hose. I never saw any adverse effects on the paint, though I never tried it myself.
