i used meguiar's interior detailing wipes on it because i don't like things all shiny/greasy either, but i started to wonder if it was protecting the leather from the sun, so now i use meguiar's leather wipes that we had to use on leather seats of our other cars. it looks protected but feels kinda slippery. i dunno what's better to use so i will just keep alternating or whatever until i have a preference

Ditto to the above - I just recently purchased the Mequiars Leather Care Wipes just for the steering wheel. They seem to do the job but time will tell - just like you wanted something to protect the leather. I normally put up the sun shade in the front glass if I have to park in the direct sunlight. If anyone has any other suggestions, would love to hear from you.

Hate to beat a dead thread, but I am going to be installing soon a OEM red leather wrap and hope it does't turn out to look like this guys. First off I thought it is for the Base(s), that Sport wheel looks likeit doesn't want to take that cover. Also I think you are supposed to hide the stitching on the 9 and 3 points behind? I am going to follow the instructions and hopefully will end up more clean.

It seem good to use leather steering, it provide proper grip on steering wheel for take turns. I'm also using leather steering and feel comfortable.
