Oil Change Question
Back here we have there kind of oil
Synthetic oil that change at 10000km $41 gallon
Second grade change at 2500-3000km $14 gallon
Normal oil change at 2000-2500km $6 gallon
I use Mobile 1 and change at 10K and oil filter, found out if I use second grade it will cost me more in the long run. Have found many use the normal grade oil and change every month regarding of the km they make. I was thinking of doing that, and change the oil filter also everymonth as it's cheap, so is it good idea to do it, as the oil will be clean and not burned most of the time.

I have never been to Egypt or anywhere else in the Middle East. But I would imagine that the worst problem for all automobiles in that area is DUST- generally dirty air. This would greatly shorten the expected life of any and all engine oils, especially if you use an after-market, low restriction air filter/intake system.
Where you drive, the amount of solid abrasive particles that build up in the oil would be a much higher volume than would be seen in an urban area in the U.S. or Europe. The abrasives in the oil would wear away your bearings, piston rings and cylinder walls, and even the valve seats. Changing your oil with a GOOD quality oil, regardless of whether or not it is synthetic, every month is what I would do in your place.

I live in the desert in California and I change my oil with Mobil 1 every 2,500 miles. As stated above the dust and dirt get everywhere plus it will not hurt to change your oil often rather then NEVER. Plus if you drive hard you should change it more frequently. These are my thoughts!

JMHO but you are not getting your monies worth outta that oil...at that low mileage you should just go with a good mineral based oil and save your money,,,,unless your really driving in real hot conditions,,,
Are three or four people a crowd??
I like the MOBIL 1 even if there is alot of talk about it. Have no problem paying the extra 27 dollars a change for it as well!! Not a fan of regular oil especially in the desert.....my car is driven all over Nevada, Arizona and California with lots of miles. So it gives me piece of mind when I am flooring it
, call me crazy but I can afford it and there is a difference in performance in my opinion at higher RPM'S. Everyone will argue but "to each is his/her own"!!
Not quite sure why I was gang tackled on this one.
I use to use Royal Purple, Torco and Lucas Products on my other cars but I do not want the headache or have the time to change my own oil. Rather spend that time driving my car then under it!!!
Peace

i run synthetic oil because in the long run it will pay off. granite you know if may be a little bit more when changing the oil, but hey there is a reason why they have it out. i run my car generally pretty hard, so i want to put the best in my car(or so i think its the best).
i definitely felt a slight difference.seems like my car is so sluggish at dead stop and from a pull. kinda feels smoother.
you could use the same oil honda uses. but thats just the mobil one non synthetic.
mobil 1 or royal purple are the only two companies i will run in my car.
and for tranny fluid...gm synchro mesh or redline.

I agree with the above.....my dealership uses Valvoline as a standard oil and I do not like it!!
I would definetly pay the extra if they offered Royal Purp but they dont....so Mobil 1 it is. Like I mentioned above everyone will argue "it's human nature"....didn't know so many oil manufactures were on this site!
Plus having the dealership change the oil and filter everything is documented and signed. Imagine your Fit dies for some reason on the side of the road, obviously you have no choice but to dealership it! They run diagnostics on it and WOW look at that....."you have 15k miles on your car and NO
documented oil changes".....your asking for trouble. These are my thoughts
It really is not that much more then your regular oil change. Maybe 25.00 dollars more each change! Small price to pay now~Save a big expense later.
This subject is almost the same as the octane gas thing! Some people are for using a higher grade gas and some like to use regular. There will always be debate...
