Pine Cones!

This morning when I was driving down a street with row of 10 huge pine trees in the middle island divider and i've been driving down this street for over 5 years and now for the first time while driving down the street with a clean fit thats about 5 months old without any scratches or dents, while driving about 40mph and a huge pine cone falls off the tree and smacks right onto the hood of my car and bounces off hitting the windshield and roof top once before flying off my car, i was shocked at the moment. wtf! and i pulled over to see the damage and the huge pine cone left a dent on my hood, nothing noticable on the window shield and minor scratch mark on the roof top that i removed with scratch mark remover. i was upset about the dent on the hood, but what can i do, i'm going to leave the dent alone and get it fix later. meanwhile i'm going to avoid driving through that street and i call the city office to complain about the pine tree, i wanted them to either remove the tree or replace with better looking trees, pine trees are ugly, they drop pine needles and cones all over the place. hopefully if they do remove the trees, there wont be any of those tree lovers from who is against cutting down the trees and camp on top of the tree

aw sorry to hear that. this reminds me of this one time on a windy day; i was driving ~35mph on some suburb city streets and a tree branch fell right in front of me but i swerved out of the way. good thing i was going so slow.

pdr!

You might look into paintless dent repair. In the yellow pages under collision etc. It would be $20-80 depending on many things. If the dent bothers you get rid of it. Our world needs trees. You could try and get the home owner to pay but chances are they and the court system would view you as a nut case. Seriously PDR's worth it for $50 if that dent's going to bug you.

definitely +1 on the PDR. if our hoods are not aluminum it can be easily
fixed. aluminum hoods are brittle and some PDR places will not touch it.
