I need a new front lower arm!!!

Well, just today my wife went over a curb and lower arm ball joint broke in half and in doing so twisted the the ball-joint area of the lower arm.

I'm thinking I need to replace the whole arm. I'm not sure after taking out the ball-joint, straightening the hole is a good idea.

Do you know where I can get the arm cheap? I'm checking the used parts, but it's hard to find it. I haven't even checked the dealer because I think it'll be pretty expensive. Do you know of a junk yard that has fit parts?

Thanks,

James

Kelso,

Where is that price from? That seem very reasonable. Is there a link to the site with price?

Thanks,

James

not a problem at all. i believe that collegehillshonda also has a parts website as well, they have excellent customer service from what i can tell..

yeah majestic honda made me want to pull my hair out. when i ordered my headlights they made me wait an unreasonable amount of time until they shipped it, then once they shipped it they sent me one silver and one black so i had to send the one back then i had to wait some more and when they sent me the other housing.. IT WAS BROKEN and it had a shipping tag from someone else who had it a few months earlier... so it was used! i paid for a new part!..

haha i had to vent... they had the cheaper price.. NOT WORTH IT!

Yea, stuff like that will really hurt their reputation and lose customers.

Thanks for sharing that.

Thanks to you guys I was able to save lot of money.

Also, I'd like to share something. While pulling out the parts, we noticed the driveshaft was pulled and the knuckle in the driveshaft was pulled out from its socket.

South Bay Honda - Honda Automotive Parts Store

In the diagram #10 3bearing knuckle was pulled from the housing. So I had called around the shops to see if they can repair that, but no one would. Finally, I've found a axle shop that would do it and they replaced the whole rubber housing and put the pieces in correctly all for $25. I felt fortunate I didn't have to buy the whole piece to fix. That housing unit alone is $228 and whole shaft is $423 and you can't get any rebuilt ones.

The place is called Henderson Driveline & Axle 440-892-0411. They say if they receive the parts, they can ship them out as well. At first I was quoted $40 for the job, but when I went to pick it up it was only $25. I was so happy.

If you have a problem with axles you may want to go see axle shops or if you don't see one near you I sure do recommend Henderson's.
