Aftermarket lower control arm options

Decided I will go ahead and replace the lower control arms during the front suspension refresh.

Looks like options are:

Moog R-series - 3 yr warranty
Dorman - lifetime
Mevotech original - 5 yr
Mevotech Supreme - lifetime

Anyone have experience with any of these arms? I've read recommendations to stay away from Moog R-series parts. I've always been impressed with the quality of Moog parts. Don't have experience with Dorman. I've used Mevotech TTX ball joints on F350/450 applications and have been impressed.

Perhaps the Fit is not hard on ball joints or bushings to make much difference in this case. At 170k now so I do want something to last the remaining life of the car.

According to reviews about other Dorman parts, the rubber of the joint boots (for tie rod ends) tends to crack after one year. Would also stay away from the parts with grease fittings on the ball joints.I am leaning toward Moog brand

I have used Moog on other Honda’s and have had good success with them. Will they last as long as the OEM stuff (100k) probably not. Honda’s in general don’t seem to go through ball joints before 100k.

At 170k the ball joints are good but the rubber bushings are aged. Just wanted to refresh the whole front end to restore tight steering. I settled on the Mevotech Supreme will let you know how the parts look and install. The Moog R-Series parts were listed as "economy" on Rockauto. I'm hoping the Mevotech Supreme will have better quality components.

I think this was a brand my co-worker bought for his 97 Camry. If possible, please take pictures during your project!

FWIW, last time I checked MOOG and Dormans Import parts are sourced form the same places,
Even years ago you'd find their parts in each others boxes..

Some bad news about Dorman arms (the ball joints went in 30,000 miles).
The good news: alignment (toe adjustment) was not necessary after arms replacement
(source Drive2.com)

Work completed (in the shop)

Another view

Close up of the new arm with silly-looking boot

So the owner replaced the boot with Honda OEM

This is what he bought

Another joint he had to buy

I am guessing, he was using the sledge to drive a joint in? Well, Fit is not T-34 tank (it's stronger!)

Someone else's bushing , similar condition to mine!
