Cruise Control Won't Engage

I made a post here awhile ago about my cruise control not working and something rattling in the steering wheel. The "Cruise Main" light would come on, but the second light that appears when the cruise is actually engaged would not appear and the cruise would not work. A magnet solved the screw loose in the steering wheel issue. The cruise control wasn't working because my Horn relay under the hood was bad. There is not mention anywhere about the cruise control piggybacking on the horn relay so BEWARE:

THE HORN RELAY IS ALSO UTILIZED BY THE CRUISE CONTROL. This is the second (2) relay from the front of the car in the control box under the hood.

FYI: I later had more problems with the cruise control malfunctioning. It turns out that the cruise control and brake lights also share a fuse. The fuse is labeled "STOP" under the hood.

I installed a LED "FIT" Third Brake light, could that be the reason why my cruise control stopped working?

Cruise control won't engage problem is LED Brakelight

I had previously installed LED brake lights in my 2012 Honda Fit and had no problems other than I wanted a brighter LED. So I bought a Cree 5 watt set and installed them. Result Cruise comes on but will not set. I went back to the previous set of LED brake lights and the Cruise then worked fine.
Any ideas?

SOLVED! LED Brakelights cause cruise control to malfunction

OK if you install the LED replacement Brake lights this can cause your cruise control to malfunction. This is due to the light load of the LED on the solution is to add at the tail light area a resistor from the ground wire (black on my 2012 base) to the Brake/ Turn signal wire (green on mine). This will also cure the rapid turn signal flashing. You will want to install a resistor to both sides. I mounted mine on the upper tail lamp assembly retaining stud as I hear they get hot. By using this mounting the resistor is now heat sinked to the sheet metal. You want to make sure the resistor is clear of contacting any plastic.
