My finish is damaged with small brown spots all over

I had my Taffy White done with paint sealer by dealer last year when I bought it.

It was finally nice enuf a couple days ago to hand wash at home. I noticed these tiny brown spots over most of it a couple on rocker panels that looked more like rust.

I just had reply from company (Elite Choice). They say it shows more on white cars and imports. It is the iron in brake dust causing the problem.

They went on to say if I did not have their product it would eat into clear coat.

They also said I should have been given a bottle of cleaner by dealer. I have sent Email on to my dealer for response. We will see where and when I get this cleaner. It could be a few days before I get to use it as well and it is not really Spring here yet.

THey also said if cleaner does not do it them I am covered to have a professional repair done.

fI will keep everyone posted.

Anyone else have this problem?

I had this on my ep upon delivery and it was rail dust from transport to the dealer. I had them claybar my car and that got rid of it.

Every once in a while, I'd see a small spot they missed and would claybar to get rid.

Hope this helps.

I plan on claybaring my car as soon as school lets out for the summer.

Thanks A. At least I know it is a sort of common problem. I looked at my dark silver van as well and it has a bit on the rear. So could be from air pollution as well as brake dust. Wanna come clay mine when yours is done. It would be a nice road trip.

Still waiting to hear from dealer.

I've got this same problem. It's all over my Fit. There's another white car in my family and it has the same problem.

It used to really bug me but after trying washing an clay barring the car, neither worked so I just live with it. I noticed it about 6 months after buying my car. It's all over the car but the worst is on the rear bumper. It looks like I have sand on my bumper lol.
