2007 Sport A/T w/ 80k. Yeah, I was a little late in getting the fluid changed. I do change the oil every 5k whether it "needs" it or not though. Of course, most of the miles on the car are highway. I traveled for work for a couple of years and really racked up the miles.

Changed mine @ 12K with Amsoil and will do the same @ 24K. have not had an issue with the tranny yet and added a cooler too. On A/T it's always extra insurance to add a cooler to help keep things from heating up (clutch packs).

I don't remember if you have a scangauge or not. If so, have you seen a drop in coolant temperature???

The AT's have a tranny oil cooler already, built in to the lower left side of the radiator.

Want a cheap and easy way to change your own tranny fluid? Disconnect the in line to the oil cooler and put it in a 1 quart jug. Have your helper turn the car on while you watch the 1 Q bottle fill up. Shut car off when it is almost full. Empty bottle, refill 1 Q tranny fluid thru large bolt hole behind the right side of the motor. Repeat 5 more times and you have replaced 99% of your tranny fluid.

No, but def. on the wish list!
I know it's cooling it shifts firm even on the hot days 100+. before the cooler I noticed the gear shifting kinda slid into gear on the hot days. I do have an under the hood ambient air temp probe and 103 outside was 140 at the stop light! Yikes.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but I want to find out if actually changing the 3rd Clutch Transmission Fluid Pressure Switch actually solves the problems with the transmission.

I just had that diagnosed aka the "P0847 CEL code" problem with my car and I was wondering if changing the switch will be a viable long term solution for the transmission problem the original poster had.

My car (59k miles, 2008 Fit Sport AT) had the same problems - jerky shifting, not being able to shift to 4th gear, etc.
I changed the transmission fluid 200 miles before the CEL code P0847 appeared(for the first time), but the car had the problems before the CEL turned on, just not all the time.

All the maintenance has been made at the dealer.

It fixed my issue. At 127k, I haven't seen the problem return yet.

The part costs about $50 + labor. It's probably a dealer job unless you know where the switch goes and how to install it. It seems a few folks are having issues with this particular switch. Honda should think about covering some of the costs here.

You should post your issues on truedelta.com

My repair cost was around $215 (can't remember the exact sum, but it was not more than that). The work was done at O'Donnel Honda, Ellicott City, MD

That was for the sensor and labor, they did not do anything to the transmission, that being said I had the trans fluid changed a week before that service.

I would like to know this. Mine needs to be replaced. CEL (P0847) and blinking D aling with "slamming" into 2nd gear started happening.
