Question replacing the rack & pinion

my hubby had a hard crash into a chain-linked fence. Now we have to replace the rack & pinion along with the power steering motor ... Does anyone know how to take the assembly off the steering collum from the firewall.....we have 2 bolts left on the cross member but after that we do not know what eles to do or how to do it? PLEASE HELP ME ... i have not been able to drive my FIT for almost 4 months now the service manual is going to cost 125 pluse shipping & handeling and then will take 10 days to get here i really need my car fixed sooner then that!!!!
