It's too long. It's wedged between the fuse box and some of the intake hardware. The intake component is rubbing against the side of the battery and is transmitting engine noise/vibration into the body. The excess noise and vibration is objectionable to the driver and I don't think it's doing the battery any favors, either.

Are there any solutions to this problem?

 

Yeah, that will be a 151R for ya. I had the same prob. Regular interstate batts won't go. Had to go genuine honda instead.
