speedometer not working

speedometer not working

i need help.. my speedometer is not working.. help!

Take it to the dealer or a mechanic to get it fixed? Can't say I know that much about cars, but I'd think this is one thing you don't want to mess with on your own. No DIY. Let a pro fix it.

Or you can watch the tach. For my USDM GE manual transmission Fit, Its about 2500-2700 rpm at 10 mph in 1st, 20 mph in 2nd, 30 mph in 3rd, 40 mph in 4th and 50 mph in 5th.

So, if you're reading about 5000 rpm in 3rd gear, you're probably going just under 60 mph.

Sensor located in the gearbox or transmission may have corroded ends or be bad. Has the EPS light come on as well?

go scan your obd2 codes. loook for pending ones. ecu throws two kinds of codes, pending codes that say hey, somethings up, or the thrown codes, that say somethings jacked up, fix me!
