Cabin Fan Assembly removal?
Cabin Fan Assembly removal?
Hi Guys,
So i decided to replace the cabin air filter via the glove compartment. The previous didnt seem to have changed it and it's been over 60k miles. There were large.."stuff" ontop of the filter which i dont know what it is. I assume dried up bug parts.
Anyway a bunch of stuff fell assembly below the cabin filter and now when i turn the fan on, my dash shakes like a mofo. any1 know how to get into the fan assembly so i can remove whatever that fell into the fan blades??

Manual says both the fan and filter may be removed without removing the entire unit. Looks like a couple of bolts on the bottom holding the fan unit in. Of course the glove box needs removal first.
thanks for the reply. It's winter outside so i didnt have a lot of time to peak around without freezing my butt off. I see the bolts, it just seems hard to navigate without removing the bottom dash out. I'll try again when it gets warmer.
Thx for the tip. It was simple as soon as I removed the bottom cover. Undid 3 screws and unhooked the power, the fan assmebly then slides out.
Found 2 twigs and some fabric? Anyway, Fan works 100% now
