my 07 sport fit @ 66k miles is having a odd problem its annoying me so much. Just noticed this a few days ago.

Problem- When sitting in drive like at a red light or stop sign the car flutters seems to skip a beat. And I noticed the rpm goes up and down when this happens. And at times when on the highway I feel a lack in power or a cut back in power and the flutter thing.

I just do not know much about cars, but want to learn!
My dad only makes sure I get the oil changed and I do always on time. But this is different for me so confused. And the dealer 99.00 charge to look at it is killer. I am a girl that wants to learn help please thanks.

 

is the check engine light on ?

 

Nope no service lights at all!
never ever had one on so I am confused.

 

could possibly be the coil packs or the valves, seems like it turned out to be the coil packs for most fits with similar symptoms.

Yeah, I agree with the above poster. Welcome to the club. Happened to me around 60k miles also. I replaced my spark plugs and it has went away for me but people that have done the same have had t he problem come back after a while.

 

I'm gonna agree with other posters. Check your coil packs and plugs.

 

get the valves adjusted. mine had the shuttering problem right until i adjusted the valves. now its right back to driving smoothly

 

Coil Packs easy fix abit expencive though.

I just started a thread like this. Going down the road my car hiccups for a second and it mainly does it with the AC on. I have 65k on the car and about 30 on the plugs.
