Tint is in the inside of the window not the outside....

If anything it gives more room to work but I wouldn't see how it would be such a obstacle that a professional tinter couldn't do it. I still believe this is one of the best cars for mods. I have noticed just about everything Ive done to the car improves it so much more than the same mod on another car.

Make sure your careful putting the pins and clips together! If you push it through before the pin is attached it is very difficult to remove. Dont worry to much using a straw easily opens the locked pin and it is good to use again.

I installed mine last week, when I get my car washed ill post a picture.

Dont have Mugen visors but put on JDM visors today. based off the DIY posted in this thread putting the mugen visors seem more difficult then the JDM ones. What exactly are the pins and clips? is there holes in the visors?

 

yes there are 2 holes in each visor the clip is a extra support for the visors that go under the window lining. it also helps out when you are installing the visors. it holds it in place while you take out the plastic off the adhesive.

 

mine are scheduled to come in on tues! i'm so excited, it makes me kinda nervous that i'll totally eff my shite up tryin to install these sobz. but i'm still confident that i can do it. there will be pix, OH YES, and it will be good for i shall make it so.

 

I never understood what Mugen Visor owners meant by 'cracking the window open until the rubber lining to get optimal performance' but now i do ! :-D rubber lining meaning the rubber piece at the bottom of the visor :-p Sure keeps wind noise to a minimum. Havent tried all the other hidden features yet, but will let you guys know how it performs in other areas! So far so good :-)

 

hmm the real mugen visors are clips right now stick on ? anybody know if this is true?.....

 

I got the Mugen Style Visor, I just want to know is the Mugen Visor in solid BLACK also? because mine is totally black and cause me more blind spot.

 

The real Mugen visors are not Solid black. They are transparent enough so that the sun is shaded from your eyes and for you to see through them. I did not realize the Mugen style were solid black! I guess it was worth the extra monies to get the authentic stuff

The real Mugen visors have 2 clips on each visor as well as super sticky double sided tape


Top Notch add-on, just as good as the anti-sway bar can't go wrong with both

The first side took about 4x longer than the other side because I figured out a bit of an easier way.

First - the window trim comes out very easily but you don't have to remove the corners. They were harder to get back in smoothly and it is not necessary. Just remove across the top.

I tried the masking tape and it only worked on 2 of the upteen pieces of tape.

You need two people to properly install I think. One to hold the visor out a bit as you remove the tape strip on the back - helps to ensure proper alignment.

The back is easiest as it is clear where it lines up based on the little dent that matches the window.

Lastly, I found that putting the clips on the visor first, to be much easier. Simply put them in - put the visor in place and push the rubber window trim back in.

I used a pair of very thin (tool type) tweezers to remove the tape strip - very thin and pointy - allowed me to grab it easily.

I went for a short test drive - 20 degrees Celcius here in southern Ontario today! A couple things I noticed - I felt more closed in with having them on - I know I will get used to it but just a first impression. I was impressed though that with the window down - there was no wind on my face - just in the car - I like that! I was doing 80km.

Glad I got them and will be even "gladder" when it rains tomorrow and I can open my window a bit!
