Cvt gearbox

i m facing gearbox proble. when i release the brake paddel, the car doesn't move. especially on the up slope, the car move back. it happen after couple if minutes after driving from home or office.
please advise.

Pretty sure there is nothing wrong with it. That's how most of the CVT's i've driven are.

  • I have a problem with my Honda fit it over heat,I changed the gasket but after changing the gasket the gear box stopped engaging the gears it can't move is it the solenoid or what any idea?????

X2 agreed, all is likely okay. Even non-CVT autos do this on most vehicles. The vehicle wants to roll back on a hill and without pressing the gas pedal, kyawkyaw087 is expecting idle speed to overcome gravity. kyawkyaw087, if the hill is steep, you may have to set the parking brake before you shift to Drive, then release it as you lightly press on the gas pedal.

It's called "hill start assist". And its a standard feature in the Fit.
