In for answers from reliable sources on MTF for Honda, I was planning on just using Honda's MTF again. I know you can't use gear oil type fluids, so what can you use

Factory stuff is great. Until you beat on the car. I take the car to the track. So I'm looking for fluids that can handle DD/track.

I'm about to rune ATE Super Blue for Brakes...

And I have been using 0-20 AMSOIL Signature series, although I may go to the DOMINTAOR 5w-20.

For my 5MT I am using another AMSOIL product they call Manual Synchromesh Transmission Fluid 5W-30. No problems there.

I NEED to bleed my clutch after 3 weekends of back to back AutoX and rev launch starts No clue though what I will put into it... Since manual says HONDA Dot3, I will likely go with the Super Blue.

da9r00d: Where are you tracking? Who with? What mods other than fluids?

In again. Have to do my trans soon and debating using Torco MTF i'm seeing a lot of performance trans builders praising the stuff but no personal experience. Supposedly good for DD and light track. They have an "RTF" that's more performance oriented but I think it takes a minute to warm up.

Hmm, this stuff? RTF racing transmission fluid

"Recommended for manual transmissions, transaxles and marine outdrive units where an SAE 75W90, 80W90 or 90 is specified. Also replaces SAE motor oil 10W30, 30, 10W40 or 40 where specified for transmissions."

Hmm... OK in both a 90 weight AND a 10W30 spec trans? Hmm.... Haha you probably only need one 1 litre bottle if I remember

AFAIK 75W90 Trans Oil is close to 10W30 or 40 motor oil? SAE ratings for gear oil is different than motor oil.

A few months ago I had my MT fluid with the Honda brand at the dealer, but I will probably do another change soon personally.... interested in other options though...

There were some threads on other Honda boards (maybe here too), about using synth trans fluid... iirc, some were having problems with them.
I'll try to search them again later.
