Fit Battery Removal

Apparently nobody has had this problem before, so I'll start the thread. I want to charge my Fit battery with my Battery Tender. So, I tried to disconnect first the negative pole and then the positive... only to discover that the negative pole has this weird configuration of bold/nut designed to discourage loosening. What?! Can someone tell me if it's ok to charge the battery with the negative pole connection still in place? Or better yet, how the heck to loosen the nut on this contraption? Thanks.

Why not just use the included clips with the battry tender to connect the charger? It won't hurt to leave everything connected. I do it all the time on many different vehicles.

Thanks. Appreciate that tidbit of advice. Did get the connection off, just needed a 10mm socket. Who knew, just not me! https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/imag...ies/tongue.gif
