Typical diagnostic codes for coil pack problems
Typical diagnostic codes for coil pack problems
Hi guys,
I've got 148,050 miles on my 2008 Fit and had the plugs and coil packs changed at around 70,000 miles. My check engine light is on and I'm getting the usual stuttering associated with a coil pack failure. I've replaced the plugs and the stuttering is continuing and the CEL has stayed on. So that rules out the plugs. I bought an ELM scanner and installed the Torque bluetooth app on my phone and I'm getting the following fault codes.
P0303 - Cylinder 3 misfire detected
P0203 - Injector 3 control circuit
P0103 - Mass Air Flow sensor circuit high frequency
P0055 - not listed but it seem to be related to heated oxygen sensor
C1555 - ?
It appears there's an issue with cylinder 3. Are these fault codes typical of a coil pack issue? Would replacing the pack on 3 be a good first step, or is the issue something else completely.
I understand that with this mileage, the packs are due for replacement anyway, but I want to solve the issue first and if the pack on 3 is step one, that's what I'm looking for some guidance on.
Thanks.

I would suggest to clear your CEL codes and swap the coil pack in cylinder 3 with one of the other three packs. Then drive your car and see if you still get codes for cylinder 3 or if they've followed the "bad" coil pack. That's where I'd start.
