07 fit sport 5sp- hiccup/stutter

sorry guys, maybe another repeat. i've searched on the forums for this issue and found that most owners replaced their coil packs. i just wanted confirmation before spending $$$. my reason for posting is because not many, if any, that i've read, has the same issues as i'm having or described the issue similar to mine. so here i go.

SPECS: 07 FIT SPORT-5SP MANUAL, 88K, MEGAN HEADERS, 2.5' CAT-BACK (LOOKS LIKE IT, BOUGHT CAR LIKE THAT), EVERYTHING ELSE STOCK.

SYMPTOMS: HICCUP/STUTTERS in gears 1-4 from ONLY from 2-3k rpm, occasionally does it in 5th gear. once it passes 3k rpm in each gear it drives normal. it feels like a person driving a 5sp for the first time where the car stutters/shakes back and forth and like something is restricting/holding the car back (i've been driving manual for 16yrs, even my wife joked that i forgot how to drive a stick! )

note: my car starts up fine and DOES NOT have an idling issue at start up or when stopped at a light. no constant CEL, but today flashed for a while while the car was stuttering in 3rd from 2-4k rpm.

the car started this issue around 83k miles. been driving like this for about 5k miles, thought maybe i got too much motor oil. did oil change but same issue. i've changed the plugs- NGK PLATINUM, i think, but still has the same issue. i used 3 different injector cleaners/fuel treatment- LUCAS, HEAT, NOS; issue still there. i get about 27mpg city with this issue.

any suggestions or should i go ahead with the coil replacements?

Pull the coils out and compare them. with mine it was evident which one was burnt out due to heating of the plastic distorts the color.

Also look at getting your valve lash adjusted since that starts creating problems with higher mileage fits.

I think you're right, it sounds like it's most likely a coil pack issue.

Decided to do the dielectric grease and check the plug gaps. Ngk iridiums we're gapped too big as bought, about .2mm/.5. So I regapped them and used the grease. No stutter now! Let's see how long it last. 1st and 3rd coil tubes don't look too good, maybe previous owner only changed 2nd and 4th.

did a little research, but not sure on which brand was best to get. just wondering in case that day should come where i need to buy them. the reviews on amazon for the beck arnley brand are great and its about $50 each.

any one have any other recommendations or are the beck arnley a good buy?

thanks for your inputs

Why would you buy that when you can buy HITACHI Part # IGC0053 on rockauto.com for 50ish bucks?

The previous owner of my vehicle had the dealer replace EGR valve for the same symptoms.

I recently just replaced all sparkplugs and coil packs runs like new except for valve adjustment that is required.
