Fit Filters?

I can't find any stores that have cabin air, or engine air filter applications for my '07 Fits - up here on the lonesome prairie. Anyone having luck?

I have always mail-ordered for many car brands from here in the States and Europe any items that I could not get locally at dealer price. For Honda, try College Hills, I just ordered with them today, my first Honda mail order.

I also noticed you have Toyotas in your fleet, at good Toyota mail order source is Toyota of Texas in Grapevine.

Yup, I've bought from the Grapevine folks over the years and tried a couple of other on-line sources. http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/ was one of them...with no luck. Thanks for tip!

Interestingly, I made a replacement for my Matrix from some home air conditioning filter material (it is a 2-part filter material of fiber and foam laminated together) - I think I got it either at Lowes or Home Depot. This way I just clean the filter periodically instead of replacing it. I'll probably do the same thing for the Fit as the filter gets replaced in similar manner (i.e., the plastic carrier is inserted into the vent ducting behind the glove compartment and can house the replacement filter element). Some others have just removed the cabin filter element from the plastic carrier, but my method is easy/cheap and still keeps most crud from getting into the ventilation fan.

The Fit engine air filter can be replaced with a K&N 33-2359. You can even order it from the K&N site if your local auto parts place will not order it for you. Clean and re-oil every 50000 miles.

Yeap, that's it. No tricks...

With my old 8th gen civic I'd order my filters through College Hills Honda, Genuine Honda Accessories, News, and Information from College Hills Honda, it ended up being a TON cheaper then getting them through any of the local dealerships.

^ Your cabin air filter is through the glove box.

Your regular air filter is under the hood

Here's another $$-saving tip. Advance Auto Parts - quality auto parts and accessories has FRAM CA10233 engine air filters for $9.99 that fit the fit perfectly. They are rated for 12K miles. If you buy more than $50 of stuff, shipping is FREE. I just got 3 filters and some top-of-the-line windshield wipers for about $55 total, and they started arriving via UPS today. I will change more air filters every 12K and I have lots of fun stuff to do with my limited funds rather than blowing it on Honda OEM rip-offs.

Yes, that's what I said, the engine air filter. So far, I can't find an aftermarket filter for the inside cabin. Guess the market isn't big enough yet for FRAM, Purolator, etc to produce one.
