REQUEST - DIY Spring Installation

I was woundering if somebody could do a DIY for installation of springs.. since id rather do it myself then spend a few $100 to get a speedshop to do it, Also i'am pretty sure other people on the fourms would like to save some dough for more mods too! Thanks in advance

you just use a strut compressor like this:

Do not try this at home...
you could get KILT-ed!
Ok, no threadjacking with near-miss spring accidents!

Sliverworm,
I did not need any specialized tools to install the shorter springs... because they ARE shorter.

Dealing with Struts can be dangerous!!! The rears are a snap! Just unbolt the shock and pry the trailing arm down and pull out the spring at the same time! Then install new one, raise the arm and re- bolt the shock. The Fronts you need a Spring compressor! and you must do them outside of the car not like that ghetto picture!! Crazy man!

Springs are easy. All you need is a Macpherson Spring Compressor, They are 50 bucks at Sears. Or you can probably borrow them from a local auto zone or Advanced Auto. Then it's all about removing one at time and reassembling exactly the same. Then make sure you get an alignment.

the next one was not easier with the top of the strut stripped pretty much from the factory.. in the end I drove home with one Tanabe GF210 and ill let the shop take care of the other front, and we/I can do the rear.
