Transmission Improvements?

Hi, I'm new to the Fit world and I have a 2012 base Fit auto. I want to get it going for autocross and was wondering if there was anything that could be done to improve the automatic transmission for better performance? I tried searching but didn't seem to have any luck with this specific questions.

Thanks

Not reaallyy unfortunately. Best bet would be swapping to a manual but that's pretty costly and it would be more cost efficient to just trade it in for one.

For autocross your best bet would just to focus on suspension parts to make your car better for autocross. Not sure your budget but a rear sway bar and lowering springs make a load of difference and are relatively cheap. If you really want to have better acceleration then cutting weight would be the best way to go. Removing spare and passenger/backseat would make the most difference but you could go further with removing carpet, all plastics, speakers, etc. But then you lose a lot of practicality for daily use.

I track an auto fit as well, my best advice would be to just enjoy it for what it is. Sure it may not be the fastest but it's wonderful to learn car control with and the knowledge you gain from it will carry with you to a future sports car/track car and will give you an edge over the people who think they're fast purely because they bought a car that's fast.

You've got an uphill battle, with the base auto having the most conservative shift profile. Good luck!

Yeah, its pretty bad. I have had a decent results just shifting from low > 2 > d3. I would expect with Autox speeds you wouldn't really get out of 2nd often.
