how much boost for Fit sport AT???

either my search function is broke, or I missed something. I am wondering how much boost our 1.5 fits' will handle? I saw around 8psi, but that was for a CVT. Just curious b/c if Jackson Racing only makes a 5lb. SC for AT Fits, I am wondering if I can still add a small 30 shot of nitrous, and will my AT be capable of handling it? Please be gentle--as I am complete newb at forced induction, and nitrous!

7-8 PSI should be safe if you get a tranny cooler and switch to synthetic ATF.

Pretty much anytime you boost an auto you should get a good front mount tranny cooler and switch to sythetic ATF...

Stock block should handle 10Psi with a good tune.

its not how much boost (psi), its the amount of HP/TQ you make that matters. more HP/TQ=more heat=heat kills transmissions.

you can run 17psi and make only 200whp. so its not the amount of boost.

the auto should be able to handle it, but the way it will react to boost is another story. the stock MAP/MAF sensor is rated to only read under 11psi, 9.5psi accurately. any more boost that that, you would need an aftermarket MAP sensor. at that point, there is no way to program the automatic ecu to understand the new MAP sensor's settings/values. so shifting would be awkward.

another thing to consider, its tough to explain in short, but the trans will slip a bit if its trying to shift under boost. best way to let it shift is in vacuum.

btw, i believe the stock motor can handle more than 10psi easily with good tuning
