Need final word on Mugen Header...

So I'm on the verge of buying a Mugen header off another fitfreak member pretty soon (I've been debating whether to get it or not) and well the price finally sounds tempting enough to where I might go pick it up.

Ok so here is the situation: I know Mugen is top notch quality and their stuff rocks but for 1) shits damn expensive 2) is there any other header out there that is similar in pricing if not cheaper that would make more hp than the Mugen header? I know theres a lot of things to factor in like low end torque loss and high end gain and all that but I'm looking for the overall "this header is better than that header; performance wise". So someone respond ASAP cuz as soon as I get a response from him I might go pick it up (with everyones approval of course )

I love my rims.... When I get tired of them I add another layer of color. Haha!
Next color is S2K yellow. Its the hardest Honda color to make and match.

Cant wait.... Damn, the rims need to bore me again so I can paint!!!

I want a DC header. Someone find me a cheapo. Teehe

J's Racing is reputed to make the most gains of any header out for the Fit. I was talking at some length about it with one of my Japanese Fit friends and that's pretty much the general consensus among Fit owners there who race, like NOBLESSE's Ichiro. Price is similar to the Mugen and quality is of course top notch.

Do what i did. Get some dc headers ($360) and get the modacar full stainless catback exhaust system ($239). Use the mid-pipe, sell the axle-back (since u have ur own). If you want a downpipe, talk 2 805fitsport he's sellin his super cheap. There u go, a full header back exhaust system. I know ima genius. =] oh and btw that's the setup im doing on my fit LOL.

I am no way trying to Dis your wheels; I actully happen to like them. I'm not sure if you remember, but it was Robert and I who suggested you to paint them in the first place. It's just that if you got got some wheels with a Lower offset and that are a little more wide, it would give you a wider stance and IMHO, it would look better. Not only that, but for little over the price of the Header ($550?) you can get some light wheels that'll help i your acceleration. That's all i'm tryna say.

LOL... guys common, i can still get the DC's for about 249 all said done. ill charge an extra 45 buks to port it for maxium gains. oh and i don't see the J's making any power at all seeing that the primaris are the same as stock . you also don't want to go to large with the primaris like the T1R or megan either because the car will run lean, a ported DC with T1R test pipe will make awsome gains... then finishing the exhaust work with a good cat back or a spoon B pipe or megan B pipe and a axle back.

Jesse i still have the megan B pipe waiting to get picked up... its brand new, only 200 buks man, take it off my hands haha...

let me know dude...

Well, that's great. Luckily for us, as brought up in other threads, they've been dynoed and the gains are proven. You've also got the fastest NA L15 Fit in Japan running them as well, and the owner routinely documents the work done to his car, his racing results, parts reviews, etc. for anyone to read. There may not be much documentation in English regarding the J's header and cars they've been installed on, but there a plethora of it in Japanese and like I said originally, the consensus is it's the best header out for the Fit right now.
