Time to Choose....I Need Your Help, PLEASE!!

Yeah this is my 100th post Had to pat my own back about that. Anyway, I have narrowed down my choices to two finalists. The Spoon N1 and the Tanabe Touring Medalion. Now before everyone goes crazy saying they are at opposites ends, let me explain. Both look great, neither hangs too low, both are made by very established companies and everyone I have talked to about their exhaust loves what they have. So here is my rock...I can't decide.
I drive 55 miles one way to work, of that 8 miles of it is in town, the rest is highway at 65 to 75 miles per hour.
I don't like the fart can sound. What I do like is a deep sound. I don't mind it coming to life when you get on it. I just don't want it to drive everyone mad who is riding in the car. That would be the wife. I have heard some say the N1 is loud, others say it's not bad. I know the Tanabe is pretty reserved at the noise level. Do either win the performance advantage. I am able to get the N1 for $395 delivered but haven't looked into the Tanabe prices since I'm not sure which of our vendors carries them. There isn't anyone around here that has either, so I have to base the sound levels on all of you.
Thanks to all who have answered my PM's. I'm looking forward to seeing which one is favored by the "Freaks"

Yeah . . . . I vote . . . . SPOON! The Tanabe just seems kinda boring, and I'm sure the wife'll get used to the sound (mine did).

Spoon! Woop Woop! If you leave the silencer on it really isn't bad at all. But w/out the silencer, anywhere above 70mph it's pretty loud. I love it though. it sounds so BEEFY.

Right around the 3.5 ~ 4 grand mark you're gonna get a nice and loud DRONE from the N1. Some people can tolerate it and others can't. If your wife isn't used to riding in a loud car then I HIGHLY suggest the Tanabe instead. Of course you can always buy the Spoon and if the wifey doesn't like it, sell/trade it for the Tanabe.

Looks like the Spoon is taking a fairly large lead!

Damn.....that is one seriously bassy exhaust. The wife is happy because it is not as loud a my last exhaust (Borla). I haven't had it out on the highway yet but not too bad intown. If your looking for a stealthy exhaust THIS AIN'T IT !!!!! I'll try and give my impression on the highway after I head back to work on Tuesday along with some pictures.....hopefully Hope you all have a great Memorial Day! Please don't forget why we celebrate this special day....alot of great men & women gave the ultimate sacrifice for us to enjoy all we do!!! Yes, I am x-military

Spoon N1

At first i thought of Aspec but after talking to some friends at a local shop, they suggested that my second idea, the Spoon N1 was a better choice based off of who makes it. So i agreed and picked one up and i can agree with most, it is a nice deep tone, albeit it sounds better when i use my paddles vs just regular acceleration.

I guess you could say its loud, but not more then i expected and you can always pick up the silencer if you wanted. At 100kph I really can't tell if it was louder then stock...I just know that it sounds refreshing when you rev up your car and people actually notice your car.

I'm trying to see about borrowing a video camera so I can record some tunes. I have an auto and there is a mean drone at 2k to 2.5k. On the highway, its not much louder than the stock was. The main difference I noticed over other exhausts is as the rpms climb, the pitch seems to get higher. That's not the case with the Spoon. It stays the same bassy (sp?) tone, it just gets louder as the rpms climb. I only wish my car was as powerful as it sounds .

I was going to go with a Spoon but figured it would be too loud for the congested streets of NY....i would get pulled over quite a bit!
