exhaust leak

I bought a set of DC sport headers and my car is leaking exhaust like crazy. What size gasket should I get to seal up the leak, is it 2.5? The leak is coming from between the headers and the down pipe.

OEM gasket pt# is 18229-SAA-J01 and they run about $20 or so, but you can find them cheaper online.

I found the OEM # on Bernardi but is the aftermarket gasket for the DC headers the same size?

how do u know it's leaking? i just reused my stock header gasket (the 2 metal pieces riveted together) and i have no leaks on my DC headers. The donut gasket on the cat converter i also reused and no problems here.

My car makes a farting noise everytime I get on the gas. When I was installing, I noticed that the stock gasket fit snuggly to the stock headers but not the DC ones. Did your gasket fit the same way?

If it's coming from where the headers connect to the downpipe then it has nothing to do with the gasket between the headers and the manifold. Did you install the donut gasket? I forgot to do that when putting in my Weapon*R headers and it had a leak, took them back off and put the donut on it and it's been fine ever since.

Put your hand over the muffler tip. That will tell you where/if its leaking.
You will need a friend with you. And dont touch the exhaust tip if its hot, I promise; itll burn you.
