I didn't say I want to ignore you or that I don't like the thread, I just don't like you misinforming people. I guess since you've been here longer than I have you must know what you're talking about though, and not need to back it up with anything. I guess you being a cop with years of experience trumps my job modifying cars too.

Yep sure does ..... it was my BUSINESS to know this stuff is it yours ??? Who would you want to do your brain surgery a Brain surgeon with 20 years of experience or somebody that worked as an EMT part time for a couple of years... who do you think would know more about what they were talking about??

You maybe know how to mod a car but when was the last time you said to yourself or a customer "HUUMMM I think we better check and make sure this is legal or not" before beginning work or bothering to inform customers if what they are doing is illegal??. Like most of the whiners said "we don't care about what is legal or not".

Well SOME members do care and if you are afraid of losing business because potential customers are given information on the legality of SOME mods TS ... you should be doing if yourself.

Just a heads up since this is a new thread and it seems to be getting a little "hot" in here.

The best sources for info on laws regarding car mods is your local DMV as it can vary from state to state. However getting a straight answer from them is a totally different question.

Also your insurance company might be able to help.

Just my two cents.

If its his car he's planning on modifying, i'd say yes.

Its just that as a general rule, most people who have been tuning cars for decades realize that legal and modified used in the same sentance is usually an oxymoron.

I dont know about anybody else...
but...aren't forums for information and entertainment, if not general commerce?

Having said that wouldnt one take things with either a grain of salt or with a sense of indulged "ideas".

Its the individuals descision and or responsibility to delve into information with ones own research, these posts and such are just for opening ones eyes or mind to others ideas and or experiences. My over generalized saying the "Tatooist vs the Doc" only indulges in experiences not cancelation or "mutual exclusivity".

provocation is for the birds...unless it is of thought.

So many people here have unique and or abundant experiences to share that it would be a shame to exclude or want to indulge only in biased exclusivity as its an international forum.

I fear I too have strayed off topic...
so to conclude...
This isn't court and burdenof proof should not be threatening...
This isn't grammar school (it's just alot of "type"...haahaa get it?) so
lets not hold that against people so much...if it was we would all probably get an "F" and would stop enjoying it!

I have discovered the miracles of the "edit" button...just something to think about...

lets keep this topic alive...some may find things they never knew to think about...but lets not make it a "what color alert our nation is at today" discussion...

Perfect response as expected from someone with a Kiddie attitude

It is completely possible to LEGALLY modify a vehicle for improved performance.... IF that person doing the modifications KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING
