Just wondering if anyone has gotten this thing. Looks awesome. I know you have to relocate the battery to do it.

Look likes that it can hold a lot of spare air. From the dyno you will benefit with low end and high end power. Since I haven't play with this intake yet, but it is a lot cheaper then the J's racing camber intake (I'm still waiting for the A/T verison). I think this is a good buy, but let wait till what other people may say about the Password:JDM camber intake.


P.S I may even get this Intake

the design of it kinda reminds me of mugen's intakes, but if you have an A/T your out of luck, it simply wont fit.

and even if you do have a manual, you either have to use one of their batteries or do a relocater kit. so in the end its kinda a poor design.

 

But from what I hear, its a great product. SOMEONE ON HERE GET THIS!

i don't know.... to me it looks like it would fit on both trannies. I mean this is not a CAI and the filter is place behind the headlight, not in front of the tranny. I guess i better go in for a test fitment.

 

Its a real expensive piece to not have any numbers backing it. At least with the Top Fuel one its got dyno numbers to back it up.

And of course, the relocator kit is extra on top of the intake, thats crap to me.

 

yeah. i like the looks, but if it isn't anything other than "bling" i'd rather spend my money elsewehere

 

Personally, if you're going to spend big bucks on an intake, buy a Last Station Power Box, which is a proven design, also looks cool, and has an excellent reputation as well (plus you can leave your battery where it is).

 

That thing is huge... looks like its bigger than the engine in the engine bay... that said, I like the looks of it, but the need to relocate the battery or get a smaller one kills it for me.

As for design, I though it would fit in the A/T, but PasswordJDM told me that it doesn't fit.

It looks to be very effective but too expensive for what it is. I think relocating the battery is a little extreme.

I remember back in the day knight-engineering's ICEMAN intakes. I had one and it was well worth the money. You could convert it to a short-ram for street setup and the inside of the tubing was very smooth. If they produced one for the Fit I would gladly get one. Simple, effective, versatile, and came with a real K&N filter.

 

if anyone go this intake, is it 100% necessary to get their battery? or is the fit battery small enough to relocate and still fit the intake?

 

The fit battery is not small enough to use their relocation kit. I guess if you wanted to relocate it yourself you could use the fit battery.

 

^ how much larger is it than the size they recommend for their kit?
are we tlaking is like 2" larger, or .5" larger....
