Exhaust cut-out

Just wondering if anyone knew of any reputable companies that made exhaust cut-outs or if one has been produced for the fit yet?

Cut outs are universal. Why would you want a cutout on the Fit though?
Itll just be really loud and slow. Id understand if the car was turbo and it had a cutout. But NA?

Im really just sitting here at my job just daydreaming thats all. I was thinking anyway of running that with the Weapon-R race header and the stock exhaust. But I don't know if that would be too much back-pressure for a Daily Driver. I know there universal but I was just wondering who was a good company that made a universal one.

Im guessing youll want an electric one too right? Id just do a search on Google.
Its going to be beyond loud. I started my Fit before I installed the downpipe after I installed my Megan header. Hahaha! OMG!
If idle wasnt enough, I revved it.

If youre going to get a header, Id suggest doing the rest of the exhaust. Down pipe and B-pipe. If you want the car low key either get the Ep3 muffler or just leave the stocker on.

lol yea i always wondered how the fit would sound though running straight from the header... i did it to my 04 v6 accord and it sounded like a beast!!! But yea definitely it is too loud. Yea electric cut-out would be the way to go anyway but when i search online QTP is the first site that pops up sounds good but dunno yet.

man must be blind or a bad searcher shoulda searched under bypass. but that set-up is about the same thing I would do to my car but maybe run the cut-off a little closer to the header.

It's a butterfly valve inserted into your exhaust system that opens and closes either manually with a cable or other mechanical device or with a small motor or solenoid.

With the valve in one position your exhaust system operates as stock. In the open position the butterfly moves and uncovers a large hole in the valve that was covered by the butterfly in the closed position. with the large opening uncovered the exhaust goes out the hole instead of out through your exhaust system. The exhaust going out the large hole has less resistance than going out the exhaust system making your car run like you have no exhaust system.

ic, so does that actually have any HP gains? or is it mostly there for sound or whatever.

Like it was mentioned before, there isn't much power increase to be had by a cut out on the fit. Even if it is built or boosted, your looking at minimal gains.

hp gain...hahah..where are you from, since when blocking the exhaust will add hp ??

the point of the apexi EVC is to reduce the noise so when u drive by the cops, they won't notice you as much

but if you want the add power one, you can get one from china, they make one that opens the valve so the exhaust dumps out from the down pipe, which gives more power.
