How do the paddle shifters in the A/T Fit work?

I've really been considering the long-run for my Fit, and the K20 engine swap sounds like a great idea, but my Fit is A/T (not my choice). How do the paddle shifters work? Because automatic K20's are out there and I was wondering if the paddle shifters could be maintained, or if going through all the trouble, just to do a manual swap.

Hmm... it seems unlikely that you would be able to keep the paddle shifter function. i know the TSX K24 motor has a manually shiftable automatic available, but i don't know if you could make it work that way. i know that you have to run a K series ECU as a piggyback, so i don't know if you could get it to work like that or not.
it would be a lot less trouble to swap to a manual transmission.
