yeah i don't know anyone with this intake
i heard hks products are iffy though
sometimes they lose horsepower than gain
cuz i know that was the case for some of their exhaust systems
idk i could be wrong even though i am slightly considering the new hks turbo kit
^^haha.. good to know.
i decided i'm not gonna touch the engine for now.
maybe next year i'll go turbo and get engine parts then.
not to off topic or anything...
but how many miles max should a L15 engine have to put a turbo in?
i'm talking about healthy wise.. -_-

i dont think the filter is much smaller than many others out there. i actually think it is a little wider... unless you were talking about the length.
word of advice if you do go with an HKS sponge filter be weary of the filter and change it as recommended because those sponges do eventually rot out and they will start falling apart and can get sucked in through the throttle body... I used to have the green mushroom filter on my DC2 Turbo......
yea im talking about the length, its rite on the back of my fog lite, wearing away at the filter.. gmane, i dont like the sound of this rotting away, y wud hks make such crappy filter.. any recommendation guys for a smaller length filter??
They don't make a crappy filter.. but its a sponge and if it isn't maintained it will dry out and begin to dry rot, thats just the nature of the material...
i dont think the quality of the product is crappy i think the life of the product is. that spongy material gets over heated and dried out a whole lot quicker than alot of filters.
but on the bright side the reload kits for the spongy stuff doesnt cost that much.
the only thing you might need to worry about more when using that filter on a CAI is hydrolocking your car. im just guessing that the chances are alot more likely when you literally have a sponge as your air filter. i bet that thing is a magnet for moisture.

and also I don't think I have to prove myself with the dyno's. You can choose to believe me or not. Enjoy
I just wanna see the pic of it installed

I don't think there's any reason why you can say this is crappy.
