Noob to turbo....

Just have some questions....

>Is the T1R turbo the best one out so far?
>How much boost is safe for the engine?(looking for at least 170-180 hp)
>Will it work with the new Fit?
>(related to above) Someone said the new fit has an integrated exhaust manifold which means no aftermarket headers. Whats the other solution to this?

from what i've read yes. (aj racing correct?)

you never want to think of it as boost. comes down to hp. 170-180bhp is very obtainable. now 170-180whp is a different story. the highest ive seen was 160ish whp. alot of it will depend on the type of fuel used and tuning. I don't believe anyone has pushed a stock l15a to the limit yet (or has at least disclosed this information) I would think that it would be capable of low 200's to the wheels reliably based of the previous 1.5L engines honda has made(d15's) but again no solid information.

>Will it work with the new Fit?
I assuming your talking about a 2009? I don't believe it will work. it is a re-designed engine with i-vtec. not ever sure if its still a L series engine.

if this is true, it sounds like it will be similar to the r18 engine. which will most likely take awhile for aftermarket parts to pop up.
well thats my take on it at least.
