Great question !!

What's the weight difference a few hundred grams maybe? That small of weight difference is where any perceived increase in performance comes from because there is a slight decrease in parasitic drag on the engine due to the less weight. The engine has to expend less of it's energy to turn the lighter pulley.

All of which has no effect on the driving of or operation of the supercharger other than there is a minute amount of "freed up" (not being utilized to turn the heavier damper) torque to turn the supercharger more easily which is a good thing and not at all detrimental to supercharger operation.

It's just the whiners that I have neg repped in the past that keep on with the flames because they never get over getting the neg

I don't go begging for it or get it from buddies just for the fun of it like some people.

I see that you are still on ZERO rep since AUG 2007 looks like you don't post anything worthy of rep just like this last post of yours.
that's just i couldn't care less about arguing with ppl on forums. look at how many posts i have for the last year, i just chime in occasionally when i feel chatty. I understand that ppl have their own opinions and i respect that, whether or not i agree with you i'd just keep to myself because its my opinion. Pretty much the opposite of what you are.
