Does it really matter?

Does a gain of 5 hp really make that much of a difference? I am wanting to get more power out of my NHPB 08 A/T Sport so I figured an SRI or Chambered intake would be best. Anyone try Sid's intake? Any results?

you probably wont get 5hp out of an intake.

there was a guy that dyno'd his fit, he had intake, intake manifold, header, b pipe, adn axleback. and he was RETUNED! only got 2hp over a stock fit.

btw, you wont feel 5hp if you even got that. the butt dyno lies

If you were driving at indy, 5 hp would make a difference, around town one could not tell. Raise your tire pressure, its a lot less money....

10hp increase is when you can actually feel. stuffs like intake, is pretty much just for the sake of doing something to your car...

get lightweight wheels. its the biggest difference you'll feel.

on a side note. I have the mishimoto intake which has been dyno'd for a claimed 7-8hp gain. although its not a huge gain I feel its a little more than a butt dyno gain. I drive and have to pass people daily. and the power from 4500-5500 has deffinitly changed. helps me considerably when passing.

p.s. just boost it if your wanting power. you are in the forced induction forum after all.

I agree with all answers to the OP who has not found the "search" button yet. Huge thread on the Sid intake would answer THAT question.

The "butt dyno" from adding any intake is placebo effect multiplied by extra noise produced by the intake, which does not have the noise-canceling baffles found in the stock intake. After-market intakes do add a little power, but so little that it can't be felt, only heard.
